We all have baggage from our lives that is hard to leave behind
It takes the shape of guilt or fear
Or can make us thoughtless or unkind
Our baggage can cause us problems; or we can choose to let it go
To focus on our past proves foolish
And can become a devastating foe
Leave the past behind you; it does not have to shape your life
Give some thanks and learn to smile
Leave behind the bitter strife
Sulking about the past can be a vicious weapon to hold
It will the suck the life out of your dreams
And leave you empty and cold
You are in control of your life; it is yours to build or break
Don’t waste your time blaming others
For the path you choose to take
