Fear is the opposite of faith
I heard these words today
They resonated in my mind and soul
And delivered me from doubt and dismay
Fear is a weapon of hopelessness
That attacks us when we are most insecure
We can defeat fear without much effort
If we open our hearts and let our faith endure
We want to hold onto faith
Yet, at times its strength we deny or ignore
A problem comes sailing into our lives
And faith, we send packing out the door
It is fear we should abandon
For it offers us only pain and disgrace
With faith, we have God’s comfort always at our side
We are never alone in his protective embrace
