We see our goals so clearly ahead
We travel down the path we think is right
But we encounter bumps, curves and detours
And soon our goals start to fade from sight
We lose faith in what we wanted to accomplish
Our patience was tested and it failed
There seems to be too many obstacles to overcome
Our dreams have been sabotaged, kaput, derailed
We need to take a deep breath and focus on patience
And realize our timetable is not carved in stone
Our dreams are still out there waiting for us to go them
They are still real; maybe just a bit postponed
Sometimes, we do not reach our goals on the timetable we set
Maybe that is the way it is supposed to be
If we have patience and faith and continue on the path
We will discover our true destiny
