We have those days when nothing goes right
And our insecurities soar
We do our jobs; we live our lives
But in our hearts, our self-doubts roar
There are days we think we are not good enough
We have lost control over what we hold dear
We think that we have failed on all fronts
We collapse under the weight of our own fear
Some say it’s easy to keep our fear at bay
I say it is one of most difficult tasks we face
But if we learn to focus on what is good in our lives
A tiny ray of hope is always there to embrace
That tiny ray of hope is invisible at times
We may even doubt its existence
But it is when we are at our lowest of lows
That we catch that faint glimmer in the distance
The smallest spark of hope brings us comfort
It gives us the strength to face another day
We find the courage to face our worst fears
And brush our insecurities away
