If there was an ATM of hope

How much better our lives would be

We could just march up and slide our special cards

And out comes hope to vanquish our misery

 

We could take a little hope

When our life seems to be going okay

Or we can tap that machine for all its got

When our world falls into chaos and disarray

 

The best thing about this ATM

It would require almost nothing on our part

All we would need is a desire to look forward

A desire to maintain an open heart

 

We would not need a hope account balance

The hope ATM would not judge who we are

It would be there to help us look to a brighter future

It would be there to help us heal our past scars

 

The ATM of hope does exist

We just need to see past our own despair

Hope is out there waiting for us to find it

A limitless amount to embrace and share
