We reflect on what will be
And what has already occurred
We reflect on every feeling we have
And on our every spoken word
We reflect on how others see us
Do they accept us for who we are?
We reflect on our dreams and our hopes
We wonder if they will take us far
Reflections are important to our life
They bring clarity to what we feel
But reflection without action is useless
It puts a band-aid on a wound that will not heal
Reflection is merely a catalyst
It helps us to discover what life we want to lead
Then it is up to us to enact a plan
We start small; we plant a seed
When the seed breaks through the ground
A vision becomes concrete and clear
We work to protect that seedling
We act with commitment and not fear
Reflection is a tool for inspiration
It gives life to the dreams hidden in our heart
But we need to find the courage to take action
To give our dreams that much needed start
