The Remedy for Stress
Stress is a powerful foe
If left unchecked, its effects always show
Gray hair, wrinkles, your blood pressure boils
Your frown lines deepen and your intestine coils
Stress wants you to fall, lose faith and surrender
It robs you of courage and feelings so tender.
Unknot that colon at least for a while
How you may ask? It is so simple: Smile
At first those bright teeth may be only a mask
But before long your brain understands its task
Laughter releases the anxiety you feel
And brings on positive emotions that help you heal.
So smile and think thoughts of gratitude
And rid yourself of upset stomachs and a bad attitude
