Our minds can get so crowded at times
Anxious thoughts bang at our brains
Making us prisoners in our fears
Keeping our lives locked up in chains
We need to learn to clear our minds
To let go of what we think we see
We can take control of our most fearful thoughts
Remember, what we fear is not what has to be
Our anxious thoughts project the worst
The tide of anxiety never seems to recede
But when we challenge the fear in our minds
Glimmers of hope begin to seed
Challenge the fears that bombard your mind
You will see their power is temporary at best
When you face fear, you deny its strength
Hope thrives and your thoughts find rest
