We take a lot that life has to give
We do what we ought to do
But we know when we have had enough
And we need to cut loose and start anew
Me, I trace that line in the sand
I say this is the limit of what I can take
At first, I feel selfish for holding back
But in the end I do it for everyone’s sake
Once that line is drawn
Take a breather and find your peace
The world will spin without you for awhile
Renew your spirit and your stresses release
Then you can go back to that line
And erase it from the sand
You can reach out to give once again
And offer your heart and a helping hand
