Jealousy is a damaging evil
That can tear you apart from those who care
You can try to justify your feelings or actions
But in the end, your jealousy becomes too much too bear
Why is jealousy so strong?
And why does it take such a hold?
Are you willing to throw away all the love in your life
On an emotion that will make others toward you turn cold?
The Universe offers an infinite amount of blessings
There is enough for everyone to shine
God gave us different talents and gifts
There was no error in that design
Each of us excels in a different way
The result is that we have so much to share
We should celebrate in each other’s accomplishments
Instead falling into depths of despair
Jealousy causes only harm
It does not help you succeed
When you build yourself up by tearing others down
You inflict an emotional wound that might forever bleed
Get your jealousy in check
It is your insecurity that makes it grow
Start by giving someone else a supporting hand
And then witness how your talents glow
