We all have our bad days that rob out spirit
There is no relief and nothing seems to go right
The negatives mount and spiral out of control
And in the end, we throw up our hands and not bother to fight
When daily burdens suck the breath out of life
Optimism becomes an unreliable friend
We cannot imagine our grey skies turning to blue
We cannot see beginnings when we are staring at the end
But these days do end and we do survive
And a better tomorrow is on the way
We have to be willing to see the possibilities in front of us
And not let life’s bad moments lead our dreams astray
Know that the river of hope never runs dry
No drought can keep us from a brighter tomorrow
It flows with possibilities that we never knew existed
And brings joy to our hearts instead of sorrow
