Sometimes, I think it would be nice
To fast forward life to where all mysteries cease to be
No questions to dampen my sometimes fragile spirits
No dark clouds casting a shadow over me

It would seem a perfect escape
To avoid the challenges facing me now
To take that leap to a brighter future
Where the problems of today, I would not allow

A leap into the future might seem the perfect way
To avoid discomfort and the challenges we bear
But life does not come with a “perfect” setting
There will always be new challenges to conquer and share

Perfection does not teach us what it means to be human
To swim in glory, we must at times wade in defeat
No pinnacles are reached without an arduous climb
How we overcome challenges is what makes life so sweet

Re: Fast Forwarding Life

If we could fast forward life we would miss out on joys as well as sorrows - both of which make us the people we are by the way we deal with them. I enjoyed the poem very much. Thank you.
