They say a photograph is a peek into the soul
All that we try to conceal, the lens sets free
I hope that is more poetry than it is fact
Because I am worried what my photo says about me
Some people make the camera smile
Others make it wince or cry
I am the latter; I cannot take a good shot
Can’t give you the reason; I don’t know why
It has been offered that my hair is the culprit
Others say it’s my Charlie Brown face
All I know is that my family is photogenic
So portraits with them is not a moment to embrace
I guess there is not much I can do
My pictures do provide a frequent grin
I am grateful there is Photoshop to fix some flaws
And the camera world is grateful I am not a twin
Don’t feel badly about my unphotogenic traits
I have figured out a permanent solution
I am going to hire a stand in for special events
So I don’t have to fret any photo distribution
