It’s unfortunate but it’s true
Hope gives us the strength to handle the challenges
And to see each crisis through
Faith gives us the desire and courage
Not to wallow in self-pity and fear
If we face our adversity with a determined resolve
Happier days will soon appear
Even the very worst of times
can give us the inspiration we need
to recognize the lessons adversity brings
and use them to grow and succeed
Yes, adversity can hit so hard
It can throw us into confusion and despair
But to crawl up in a ball and sing “woe is me”
Will keep us struggling and gasping for air
We need to know that we can overcome
Challenges of every degree
It requires patience and a positive outlook
